The Final Move

When my sister and her husband bought their house a couple years ago, the previous owners left a veritable treasure behind.
K quickly put the water purifier to use. Her hubby discovered the crimson mounts left in the living room and bedroom were a sports fan’s dream come true.

Now, a second sister, R, and her husband are wrapping and boxing their apartment, preparing to move into a new Texas home. I wonder what treasures they’ll find?

As a frequent mover, I know the temptation to leave everything behind; merely camping with a cot and paper utensils along the route to our eventual retirement. What a relief to know that I have all I need in Jesus, and when I move on to heaven with Him, I don’t need to pack a thing. And I won’t be living in limbo on disposable bedding.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Cor. 5:1
