Christmas vacation

Dearest friends,

You may have noticed that I’m late with this week’s LASTing Peace video. My apologies, but I’ve simply arrived at the conclusion that I must take a brief Christmas hiatus. We will return in full force with our hearts and minds refreshed in the new year. See you then! Merry Christmas!

  1. Very wise ! We need to be more like Mary and less like Martha over Christmas 🙂

Rick Warren hit the nail on the head yesterday when he shared this with us :

““Dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41b-42 NLT)

“You and I love to overcrowd our lives. We overbook, overspend, overestimate, and we often walk around tired all the time. As a result, God’s truth often doesn’t get the chance to blossom in our lives.
Too often God teaches you a kernel of truth — maybe through your morning Bible study or a Sunday sermon — and you think you need to do something about it, but almost immediately it’s crowded out of your life and forgotten.”

  2. Thanks for the encouragement and affirmation, David. I love RW’s words. I hope you have a wonderful, Merry Christmas and I can’t wait to stay in touch and grow in Christ together through 2015!

  3. Merry Christmas Abby!!! We are having a change of plans. it’s driving me nuts to have a change in my routine that i am not in control of. christmas is my thing, and this year my 2 year old nephew has pneumonia so we are bring christmas to him. he could use some prayer. he wasn’t eating today. which is how his mom knew he was really sick. 😦
